Q: Can I get a stairlift for my home?
A: Stairlifts & Scooters can fit a straight or curved stairlift to your home. Every stairlift is made
     to fit your own staircase. We send out a technician who will discuss your needs and measure
     your staircase. Once the stairlift is made we will come back and install the stairlift.

Q: How much does a stairlift cost?
A: Every stairlift installation is different and the cost will depend on the number of steps, and if
     you have straight or curved stairs or need a outdoor stairlift. Your stairlift is manufactured to
     suit your own stairs, budget and requirements.

Q: My stairs have a turn in them. Can I still have a stairlift?
A: Yes, staircases come in many various sizes and shapes. Bruno stairlifts can be custom
     made so you have a one piece rail from top to bottom for any curved staircase.

Q: Is it difficult to get on and off the stairlift?
A: No, not at all. Our unique swivel seat designs lets you get seated, fasten your seatbelt and
     then dismount on the landings without turning or twisting your body.

Q: Will I be able to use the stairs as normal?
A: Yes of course. Our stairlifts are extremely slim with folding arms and footrests so you can still
     walk up and down your stairs as normal.

Q: How easy is the stairlift to use?
A: Simply press the large paddle switch in the direction you wish to travel and enjoy a smooth
     ride. Stairlifts are ideal for people with arthritis.

Q: What happens if the stairlift is at the top of the stairs and I'm downstairs?
A: This happens all the time when more than one member of the household uses the stairlift.
     The stairlift has a switch fitted at the top and bottom of the stairs so you simply press the
     button and the stairlift will come to you.

Q: What kind of warranty do Bruno stairlifts offer?
A: Bruno stairlifts have a Gold 5 Year Warranty. The stairlifts have a fully comprehensive
     12-month guarantee so if any component should fail due to faulty manufacture during the
     first year of ownership we will send a fully-trained service engineer to get your stairlift
     back to full working order FREE OF CHARGE. For the next 4 years major components
     such as the motor and gearbox are still covered.

Q: Are the stairlifts noisy?
A: No, not at all. The motor is so quiet you can use it day and night without disturbing anyone
     else in the house.

Q: What powers the stairlifts?
A: Your stairlift is powered by two DC batteries and the lift is plugged directly into the mains.
     The best thing with using DC power is that if you have a power cut your stairlift will still
     operate.

Q: Is the seat comfortable on a new stairlift?
A: Yes, the seat and backrest are both padded and hard wearing , in easy to clean materials.

Q: How long does it take to fit the stairlifts?
A: Stairlifts can be fitted on straight staircases usually in around 1 hour and curved stairlifts
     will take around 6 hours but it all depends on the complexity of your staircase.

Q: How do I learn to use the stairlifts?
A: When our technicians install your stairlift it also includes a relaxing, in-depth demonstration
     of the comfort and safety features of your stairlift. We will also leave you a check list for the
     basic operation and trouble shooting of your stairlift

Q: What happens if it stops working?
A: Simply ring Stairlifts & Scooters and we will send a technician to your home and get your
     stairlift operational again.

Q: If I ask you to send someone over for a quote will I get the hard sell to buy a stairlift?
A: No, not at all. Our technician will come over and explain everything about the stairlift and
     complete a FREE quote and with no obligation at all on your part to buy anything. Once our
     technician accurately measures your stairs and assess your specific needs you will be given
     your own free, fixed written quotation. It is then entirely your decision - in your own time -
     whether to but or not.

Q: If there is a blackout or power failure will I be stranded?
A: No, all of our stairlifts are battery powered and continue to work even if you have a power
     cut. Bruno uses battery power in stairlifts so in the event of a power failure your stairlift will
     operate normally. With a fully charged battery your stairlift will complete approximately 15
     to 20 return trips on an average staircase. This number is determined by the actual number
     of stairs, angle of staircase and the weight of the user.

Q: How much will it cost to maintain the stairlift and have it serviced?
A: We have service and maintenance agreements available. The cost for servicing depends
